Dear Professional Colleague:

Our goal at Sigma Mental Health Urgent Care is to serve the mental health care needs of our community. To that end, we seek to meet not only the needs of the individual patients in our care, but those of the greater medical community as well.

Here are a few fast facts about how Sigma may be a resource to you as a community professional:

  • Immediate access to psychiatric specialty consultation

  • Walk-in services

  • All ages

  • Second opinion consultation

  • Professional collaboration

At SMHUC we are focused on maintaining consistent, open availability for your patients
that have immediate psychiatric care needs and don’t necessarily require inpatient
psychiatric hospitalization. In order to maintain this availability, we rely strongly on our
referring medical professional peers to accept patients back into their
practices once symptoms have stabilized. This transition is also important because, while we are committed to keeping our fees as low as possible, we are out of network (private pay only) for patients.

Transitioning patients back to your practice means the following:

  • Overall care regimens are often simplified and streamlined

  • Patients may return at any time to SMHUC for medication adjustment or re-evaluation

  • Our team of mental health professionals is available for peer consultation when requested

  • Any relevant documentation is available to the treatment team with a signed release of information (ROI) form by the patient

We will generally transition care back to the primary treatment team in as soon as symptoms are stable.

Please feel free to contact us if you have questions.

Warm regards,

Sigma Team
